From 28 to 30 May 2013 CeBIT Australia launched its fair for the 12th time in Sydney.CeBIT Australia has become the largest and most comprehensive annual gathering of industry, government and services in Australia and Asia Pacific. It returned in 2013 cementing its place as the region's premier business event.

On Saturday, 25 May 2013, the Concordia Club celebrated its 130th anniversary in their Clubhouse in Tempe (NSW). Among the numerous guests were almost all the Presidents of German speaking Clubs in Australia as well as Mayor of Marrickville Victor Macri and the German Deputy Consul General Anne-Kirsten Wohlleben.

On Friday, 17 May the German-Australian Chamber hosted the Annual General Meeting at Q Station in Manly. Over 70 members of the Chamber enjoyed the scenic beauty of the National Park landscape as well as the Business Outlook.

On the second last evening of the AUDI German Film Festival, the Chauvel cinema presented the hilarious comedy "Turkish for beginners". Highlight of the evening was a reception hosted by the Turkish Consul General in Sydney, Mrs Gulseren Celik (photo center front). Not only did she invite members of the Goethe-Institut, the German Consulate and the Turkish community - the whole audience was welcome to join the reception.
